The 2025 Laureus World Sports Awards ceremony was officially held in the early hours of April 22, Beijing time. Chinese para-athlete Jiang Yuyan won the award for World Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability. At the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games, Jiang Yuyan claimed seven gold medals in swimming, setting two world records and three Paralympic records. She was the most decorated athlete across all delegations at the Games. This is her first time receiving a Laureus Sports Award.
